Step 1 of 6

Online Hearing Test

This online hearing test is not performed under controlled listening conditions. Results provide a preliminary indication of hearing acuity and are intended to provide guidance regarding whether further diagnostic assessment may be beneficial. The online hearing test results do not replace an audiological assessment/audiogram and cannot be compared to previous hearing results. For a more accurate measurement of your hearing abilities, please contact your local Audika clinic.

How to prepare for the test

  1. Find a quiet place where you can take the test without any disturbances.
  2. If possible, wear a pair of headphones as this may improve test accuracy.
  3. You will have an opportunity to test the sound before you begin.
  4. Once you've done so, you're ready to start the test.

The Online Hearing Test does not replace a comprehensive hearing evaluation

Our online hearing test provides a preliminary indication of hearing acuity and is intended to provide guidance regarding whether further diagnostic assessment may be beneficial.

Many people use an online hearing test or hearing test apps to get an indication of their hearing ability. No online hearing test results can be completely accurate, for example, because it is impossible to ensure the sound levels you hear are precisely calibrated, among other reasons.

One approach is to combine self-evaluation questions and listening tests using background noise, because they assess your ability to discern speech from noise, without needing to guarantee absolute sound levels.

However, the only way to test your hearing properly is to visit a hearing care expert.

This online hearing test is not performed under controlled listening conditions. Online hearing tests do not replace an audiological assessment/audiogram and cannot be compared to previous hearing results. For a more accurate measurement of your hearing abilities, please contact your local Audika clinic and request an appointment.
